We're looking forward to a fun-filled 2012 summer season at SWSA - your friendly lido right here in central MO.
Announcements
Facility ImprovementsSpring 2012. The mail pool filter will be replaced before the 2012 season. This is a large, expensive and vital piece of the equipment that keeps our pool operating with safe water quality.
SWSA Members:
The SWSA Board of Directors is currently reviewing options for major renovations to the pool and property. This will likely involve refinancing the current loan on the property to pay for these improvements.
Some of the items being discussed are:
Pool Deck resurfacing
Tennis Court resurfacing
New fencing
Stair entry into pool
Pool plant repairs (pump, pipes, drains etc.)
Improved lighting and sound system
Improvements to bathrooms
Starting blocks for swim team
Increasing pool depth at 5ft end for starting blocks
Improved walkways throughout the property
Permanent awning over fenced table area
Permanent pool basketball
If you would like to provide any input or have any questions or suggestions on this process, we would like to hear from you.
Please feel free to speak to Katy Glover, SWSA pool manager or contact Steve Windmoeller, SWSA Board President at steve.windmoeller@carefusion.com or 573-268-2132 with your ideas and questions.
Thank you,
SWSA Board

The Guest Pass Policy Introduced in the 2009 Season Will Continue for 2012Due to an increase in visitors to our pool that are either not members or are guests that are not in attendance with a current member, the Board of Directors has enacted a new guest pass policy. This year members will be issued printed guest passes that must be presented when bringing a guest and signing in at the door. In addition, the existing Southwest policy which requires the inviting member to be present when the guest arrives will be strictly enforced. Guests will not be admitted without a guest pass
and an accompanying member. The number of passes, 20 for regular members, 10 for emeritus, has not changed. The printed guest passes will be made available at the start of the season. Simply stop by the guard house on your first visit to pick up your packet. Should you desire more guest passes beyond your original allotment, they will be available for purchase as in the past. We thank you for your understanding in adjusting to this system as it will allow us to better monitor our facility and assure that it remains available for the members who generously support its upkeep.
