Inclement Weather Policy:
The pool will not open when the air temperature is below 70 degrees. Closing the pool will be determined every morning around 9:30 and reevaluated around 2:30 pm.
If thunder or lightning occurs, all guests will be asked to vacate the water for 30 minutes.
SWSA Rules & Regulations
- Members must sign in at each visit. Guests must have a guest pass and accompany a member.
- Food and drinks are permitted on the observation deck only. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted at SWSA. Glass containers should not be brought into the pool or pavilion areas.
- Please be responsible for disposal of your trash in the proper containers. Please use the recycle container provided for soda cans.
- Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times. Cut off jeans and thong suits not allowed.
- Children age 10 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult or child care provider.
- The wading pool is reserved for children age 5 and under. Please do not leave children unattended in this area.
- Swimming without a lifeguard on duty, in the guard stand, is strictly prohibited.
- No member or guest shall interfere with or sit alongside a guard on duty.
- At the onset of thunder and lightning, all swimmers must get out of the pool and clear the pool deck for at least thirty minutes. They may not re-enter until an all clear is given by the guard staff.
- Use of the diving boards is limited to one person at a time. All persons using the diving boards must be able to swim the length of the diving area. Repeated bouncing on the board or jumping off to the side is forbidden. Swimming in the immediate diving area is not allowed when divers are on the board.
- Running and rowdiness on the pool deck is prohibited.
- No rafts, water guns or hard balls are allowed in the pool or on the deck. Sponge and Koosh balls may be allowed at the manager's discretion.
- No riding devices (bicycles, skate boards, roller blades, scooters) are allowed on the pool or observation decks.
- No unsafe play or rowdiness will be allowed on the playground. Children must not throw sand or gravel.
- Only on-duty guards and board members are allowed in the guard house.
- When marked, the southern most lane is reserved for lap swimmers. Please be courteous and avoid crossing it when in use.
- All parties, birthday or otherwise, during regular pool hours, must be scheduled in advance with a pool manager. Pool rental is available for a fee for after hour parties which must be requested in writing.
The pool manager and lifeguards are employed for your protection and to enforce the rules and regulations of our pool. They are authorized to eject any person in violation of these rules in accordance with the By-Laws of Southwest Swimming Association. If there is a failure to comply, the following actions will be taken: 1st infraction - verbal warning, 2nd - written warning, 3rd - involuntary termination of membership.
